IEEE Awards, Competitions, and Scholarships
IEEE offers a variety of awards, competitions, contests, scholarships and fellowships. Many are available to IEEE student members, such as the Regional Student Paper Contests and the Student Enterprise Award.

Join IEEE
IEEE offers resources for engineering and technical professionals through all stages of their career including their workforce preparation as students. Whether your an IEEE student member, haven’t yet joined IEEE, or are an active IEEE student volunteer; you can find resources here specialized to suit your needs.
Membership in the IEEE is open to individuals who by education or experience give evidence of competence in an IEEE designated field. The designated fields are: Engineering, Computer sciences and information technology, Physical sciences, Biological and medical sciences, Mathematics, Technical communications, education, management, law and policy.The IEEE offers the following grades of membership: Student, Graduate Student, Associate, Member, Senior, and Fellow. The special categories of Life Member, GOLD Member, and Affiliate are also offered.
